A Celebration of a New Era

Donald Teeters conducts The Boston Cecilia at Church of the Advent, Beacon Hill, Boston, MABoston Cecilia’s annual homage to the great musical literature and spirit of Christmas this year returns to a work which we successfully recorded for Newport Classic in 1997. Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols has truly attained the status of 20th century classic, and the Cecilia singers really know how it goes!

Earlier we recorded Pinkham’s stirring Christmas Cantata, also a classic, for Koch International which benefitted from the composer’s supervision.

Maestro Teeters, in his final season as music director, has chosen to return to these popular and excellent works one more time in a program that also includes the Epilogue from L’Enfance du Christ of Berlioz, Totus Tuus by Górecki and favorite British carols.
