Once again, the brilliant Boston Cecilia composer-in-residence Scott Wheeler will honor us—and you—with a stunning new work (a work with a past - at least conceptually). Calling this new piece “Love Songs for Chorus and Piano Four Hands,” Wheeler reminds us of the memorably scintillating precedent set by Brahms in his Liebeslieder for the same performance resources. Wheeler in his official capacity with Cecilia will also assist maestro Teeters in the choice of other works that will be performed in this concert.

What better way to end a forty-four year tenure than to look forward to the future in the company of a composer who is surely one America’s brightest musical lights.
