J.S. Bach Mass in B Minor

Bach TranscriptionOn Sunday, November 23rd at 3:00 PM, the brilliant Boston Cecilia chorus opens their 133rd season with J.S. Bach's masterpiece Mass in B Minor. As always with works from the eighteenth century--since 1982, in fact--the excellent Cecilia chorus performs alongside world-class period-instrument specialists and a stunning cast of solo artists. Guest artist Krista River, mezzo-soprano, featured last season in the premiere of Scott Wheeler’s Turning Back, will be joined by Jessica Cooper, soprano; Martin Near, countertenor, and Jeffrey Gall, baritone.
