Audition for The Boston Cecilia!
The Boston Cecilia is Boston’s longest-existing amateur chorus, with repertoire ranging from period instrument performances of Handel and Bach to fresh works from contemporary composers. The chorus is comprised of about 50 singers.

Audition Information
The Boston Cecilia welcomes singers of all voice types to audition for its 151st season. We hold most auditions at the start of our season, but feel free to reach out at any time of the year, as it is possible to join the chorus mid-season.
Auditionees will be asked to do the following:
- sing scales to assess vocal range
- sing a short excerpt of a prepared song in any musical style (please bring an extra copy of the music)
- sight-read and work on a brief excerpt from Cecilia's current repertoire
Auditionees then have the opportunity to join or observe a Cecilia rehearsal immediately following their audition.

Monday, September 14, 6:45pm-7:45pm
Saturday, September 19, 9:45am-10:30am

Rehearsal times and venue
Monday evenings, 7:30 to 10:00 at All Saints Parish, 1773 Beacon Street, Brookline.
Rehearsals begin in late August
Occasional Saturday morning rehearsals (10:00am to 1:00pm) - three or four times a year.
